Collecting, sharing and using your information
In order to provide our services to you and to continuously improve them over time, we need to collect your information.
Information when you sign up for a Fanity profile:
When you sign up for a Fanity account, you provide us with personal information like your name, email, gender and birth date. During the registration process we give you the opportunity to connect with your favorite artists and friends. We offer you the possibility to use contact and profile importer tolls to ease this process.
In some cases we ask you for additional information for security reasons or to provide you with specific services. After or during your registration you can provide other information about yourself to make public, like a short bio, a picture or you location. To personalize your profile we ask you to provide us with information about your favorite artists, music, movies, sport or whatsoever. We may use your contact information to inform and/or you about our Services or for security reasons (we have to check that you are who you say you are). We will also use your additional personalized info to make suggestions that may improve your Fanity profile, like a new artist you might like. If you would like to unsubscribe from personal messages from Fanity, you may unsubscribe at any time, to do so click here, but keep in mind that you won’t be up-to-date on all the latest Services and features. Providing us with the additional information as stated above is completely optional, but will improve your Fanity experience.
We understand that sharing information, like; rumors, thoughts, pictures and videos else is fun and therefore we have designed our Services in a way that you can do so. Please understand that most of the information you provide to us is information you are asking us to make public. Our default is designed to make all information you provide us public, but we offer you the possibility to adjust your settings to make your information more private. Your public information is broadly and instantly disseminated. For example, your updates are searchable by many search engines. You should be careful at all times about the information you provide and that you make public via Fanity.

We may ask other companies to target and serve ads when you visit our website, we only do this to serve you even better and so that we can serve you with ads that have your interest. Mostly these companies don’t even have your personal information, like; email address, name, address or telephone number, since they use mostly cookies and other technologies to track your site usage. Generally all information they collect via cookies or other technologies do not consist of personal information.
Like many other websites, we use “cookie” technology to collect additional website usage data and to continuously improve our Services and enhance your (future) Fanity experience. A simple example that our cookie allows you to move from a page to page without having to sign in again on each page and that the next time you visit the website we recognize you. If you prefer to delete any cookies that are already on your computer, you can do so in your browser.
Law and Harm:
We have the right to disclose your information if we believe there is a reasonable necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request, to address fraud, for technical or security reasons or to protect Fanity’s rights or property.
Transfer of information to other countries
We take a number of precautions to ensure that your personal information is secure from unauthorized access. What we ask of you is to use a strong and unique password for your Fanity account and not to share this information with anyone. In addition we encrypt your password, so no one has access to your personal information.

Our services are not intended for people under the age of 13. We believe children under the age of 13 should not share personal information with others. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from any person under the age of 13 or allow them to register. If it comes to your attention (or if you are the parent) that a person under the age of 13 provides personal information to others or it has occurred in the past and we posses this information, please contact us at email@example.com. If we learn ourselves that we have collected personal information from a person under age 13, we will immediately take action. If a person indeed is under age 13, we need a written consent of the parent and we will provide the parent access to the profile.
