We care about your privacy. If you have any questions, remarks or concerns about our Privacy Policy, please let us know by sending us an email via We advise you to carefully read this Privacy Policy.

Fanity wish to bring you the latest updates, news and buzz about your favorite artists. The only way we can do this is to create your own personal stream which features all information about your favorite artists. To create such personal stream, we need some information from you and we have to automatically collect information about your use of our websites, API, SMS and other services further referred to as “Services”. Further, Fanity may request information from third party companies and services if you wish to activate these services via Fanity (but you are in control). This Privacy Policy covers all of Fanity, it does not, apply to entities that Fanity does not own or controls, such as applications and websites that are using Fanity.

Collecting, sharing and using your information

In order to provide our services to you and to continuously improve them over time, we need to collect your information.

Information when you sign up for a Fanity profile:

When you sign up for a Fanity account, you provide us with personal information like your name, email, gender and birth date. During the registration process we give you the opportunity to connect with your favorite artists and friends. We offer you the possibility to use contact and profile importer tolls to ease this process.

Additional information:

In some cases we ask you for additional information for security reasons or to provide you with specific services. After or during your registration you can provide other information about yourself to make public, like a short bio, a picture or you location. To personalize your profile we ask you to provide us with information about your favorite artists, music, movies, sport or whatsoever. We may use your contact information to inform and/or you about our Services or for security reasons (we have to check that you are who you say you are). We will also use your additional personalized info to make suggestions that may improve your Fanity profile, like a new artist you might like. If you would like to unsubscribe from personal messages from Fanity, you may unsubscribe at any time, to do so click here, but keep in mind that you won’t be up-to-date on all the latest Services and features. Providing us with the additional information as stated above is completely optional, but will improve your Fanity experience.


We understand that sharing information, like; rumors, thoughts, pictures  and videos else is fun and therefore we have designed our Services in a way that you can do so. Please understand that most of the information you provide to us is information you are asking us to make public. Our default is designed to make all information you provide us  public, but we offer you the possibility to adjust your settings to make your information more private. Your public information is broadly and instantly disseminated. For example, your updates are searchable by many search engines. You should be careful at all times about the information you provide and that you make public via Fanity.

Third party service providers:

It may happen that access to certain services and products need you to provide your personal information to a third party. But you are always in control about the information you share, therefore we will always ask for a prior consent during the registration process, in the terms of use or a similar manner. We advise you to carefully read the privacy policy and terms of use of our partner prior to register for the service.  It may also happen that we need to share or disclose your information with your consent, when a third party web client wants to access your Fanity profile.

Third party advertising partners:

We may ask other companies to target and serve ads when you visit our website, we only do this to serve you even better and so that we can serve you with ads that have your interest. Mostly these companies don’t even have your personal information, like; email address, name, address or telephone number, since they use mostly cookies and other technologies to track your site usage. Generally all information they collect via cookies or other technologies do not consist of personal information.

Log data:

Log data: Our servers automatically report information, further referred to as “Log Data” when you use our Services. Log Data may Include information such as your IP address, browser type, the referring domain, pages visited and search terms. Other actions, such as interactions with advertisements may also be included in Log Data. Fanity uses Google analytics to help understand the use of our services. Google also receives this information and their use of it is governed by their Privacy Policy.


Like many other websites, we use “cookie” technology to collect additional website usage data and to continuously improve our Services and enhance your (future) Fanity experience. A simple example that our cookie allows you to move from a page to page without having to sign in again on each page and that the next time you visit the website we recognize you. If you prefer to delete any cookies that are already on your computer, you can do so in your browser.

Law and Harm:

We have the right to disclose your information if we believe there is a reasonable necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request, to address fraud, for technical or security reasons or to protect Fanity’s rights or property.

Transfer of information to other countries

For technical and operational reasons Fanity may process your personal information in a different country then yours. Therefore we may transfer and process your personal information to our servers in the United States of America. But we will always do so in accordance with this Privacy Policy.


We take a number of precautions to ensure that your personal information is secure from unauthorized access. What we ask of you is to use a strong and unique password for your Fanity account and not to share this information with anyone. In addition we encrypt your password, so no one has access to your personal information.

Links to other sites

You might find links to third party websites on the Fanity site, placed by us and/or our users. Please be informed that we cannot control those sites and cannot be held responsible for those other sites, their privacy policy, their terms of use and how they treat information about their users. We advise our users to always read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use carefully to learn more about the way your personal information will be collected, processed and treated. If you would like to report a third party link to us, please send us a mail to, we will investigate the link and if needed delete it.

Business Transitions

In case Fanity is involved in a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, your personal information may be sold or transferred as part of that transaction. However, the promises in the most current Privacy Policy will apply to your information as transferred to the new situation and/or entity.

Age Policy

Our services are not intended for people under the age of 13. We believe children under the age of 13 should not share personal information with others. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from any person under the age of 13 or allow them to register. If it comes to your attention (or if you are  the parent) that a person under the age of 13 provides personal information to others or it has occurred in the past and we posses this information, please contact us at If we learn ourselves that we have collected personal information from a person under age 13, we will immediately take action. If a person indeed is under age 13, we need a written consent of the parent and we will provide the parent access to the profile.


We may change this Privacy Policy in the future, if we do, we will make sure you will be fully aware of the changes by highlighting them. Unless stated otherwise, you will find our latest Privacy Policy at If we make changes to this Privacy Policy we believe you should know off, we will send you an email about these changes to the email address you provided us (so make sure we have the correct email address).
